The Art of Killing

Just one thought on Reclamation, for those who have dealt with it. :)

I am considering a fairly major reworking of the battle mechanics. Basically, instead of totaling the might of the two armies, you would have a series of conflicts between your characters in the front row and the opponent's matching characters in their front row. The player that wins most of the match-ups wins the battle. There are more details to this, but it is still being worked in my head. Does this sound like a silly idea? :) There would then probably be card-based ways to initiate conflicts between complete armies.

TISCSOTD: Tim is so cool, that LL Cool J will now be going by the name LL Almost-As-Cool-As-Tim J.

Here's another idea for you...

What if you instead could initiate battles between columns of characters or the front row? For instance, you could choose to have the left-most column face off against the opponent's left-most column. The attacker would get to choose a particular column to fight or have the front row fight.

That would sort of bring in the idea of separate bands of armies, kind of like in Star Wars with its separate locations. Do you beef up one column for offensive attacks, or do you try to build up all columns for defensive purposes. It might add some more variety and strategy to the game. It would also make the back rows more prominent.

How about LL Not-Nearly-As-Cool-As-Tim j?

Does that mean Tim is so cool he wears both pant legs rolled up to his knees??

For people that consider that cool: Yes.
For people that consider that not cool: No.

I'm so cool, I adjust to everyone's taste without negatively affecting anyone else's taste.
